Hi, Matt of etrailer, and today, we're talking about the Flint Hill Goods Steel Hitch Cargo Carrier on the back of our 2023 Nissan Rogue. Now, this can be a great option for the Rogue because the Rogue doesn't have a whole lot of space, and it doesn't have a super high tongue weight. So trying to put a lot back here isn't recommended. I really show you what I'm talking about with that space though, is while it is a decent amount, if everyone in your vehicle, if you have all the seats filled up, have luggage with them, plus some additional, then you're probably gonna run outta space. And a situation like this is gonna be great for that. It's also gonna be great if you have anything that is really dirty or has a lot of spillage in it, and you don't want that getting inside your vehicle, this is gonna be a great alternative. more

How's it going, neighbors This is Ed here with etrailer.com, and we're gonna take a look at the Yakima EXO system, outfitted today with the GearLocker and GearWarrior on our 2022 Nissan Armada. The EXO system is a modular system that's gonna allow you to customize your setup to how you need it. In this particular example, we have a cargo basket and a cargo box with a locking lid. Essentially the reason you would want a kit like this, or in general with the Armada, it's a large vehicle, but it's mostly focused on moving passengers, so it puts cargo space at a premium. With a kit like this along with a roof rack, you can maximize the amount of gear you can bring along for your journey. Our GearWarrior Cargo basket is made of powder-coated steel to give you a nice rugged exterior to hold up against the elements on your journey. more

What a cargo basket is gonna do for you, it's gonna increase the amount of cargo you can carry. In a vehicle like the Armada, where it's more focused on carrying a lot of passengers, you're limited in your cargo space and this is gonna help increase that. You can put your bigger, bulkier items that you wouldn't necessarily want inside of the vehicle as well, like things that may get dirty, as well as generators and just about anything you could carry on the inside. Our carrier is constructed a powder coated steel, which is gonna give you a nice, durable finish to hold up against the elements. On the rear, you also have included reflectors to give you a higher level of visibility for additional safety. more

How's it going, neighbors This is Ed here with etrailer.com, and we're taking a look at the Flint Hill Goods Aluminum Cargo Basket on the back of our 2022 Nissan Armada. The person that's gonna want to add a cargo basket to the back of their Armada is someone that understands that the Armada's more geared towards moving passengers, whereas it leaves you limited as far as your cargo space. So this is gonna allow you to use the back area of your vehicle and take advantage of your hitch to get more things on the road with your journey. Your basket is constructed of extruded aluminum, and what that means, it's gonna be a lot sturdier than cast aluminum. You're gonna have solid tie-down points at the top, as well as the strips on the side to give you additional stability across your basket. One thing that I point out with these types of baskets that have these huge holes, if you have smaller items, you may wanna lean towards something that has a mesh on the bottom. more

Curt Folding Hitch Cargo Carrier Review - 2022 Nissan Armada- Video
How's it going, neighbors This is Ed here with etrailer.com and we're taking a look at our Curt folding cargo basket on the back of our 2022 Nissan Armada. Our Curt basket is a powder-coated steel construction. It's gonna help you against corrosion and just wear and tear on the road. The bottom features a mesh that's gonna work if you have finer items that could possibly slip through, and you have good tie down points using the actual top tubing versus the side panels here. That's more for stability versus actually, security for tying down. The Curt cargo basket is a really great option to increase your cargo area that you can carry in your Armada. more

How's it going, neighbors This is Ed here with etrailer.com and we're taking a look at the Reese steel cargo basket on the back of our 2022 Nissan Armada. A cargo basket is gonna be a great option to increase your ability to transport cargo, your larger items, heavier items, and some of those dirty, bulky items that just wouldn't want inside of your vehicle. With the Armada focus mostly being on passengers and having a limited amount of cargo space, a cargo basket is a great option to increase that. It's constructed of powder-coated steel that's gonna hold up against the elements and you know, basically anything you throw at it. Has a nice, mesh steel floor to it that's gonna hold those smaller items that you may pack alongside. And you have really sturdy tie-down points and supports on the side. more

Flint Hill Goods Cargo Carrier Review - 2021 Nissan Murano- Video
How's it going This is Ed here with etrailer.com and right now, we're taking a look at the Flint Hill Goods aluminum cargo carrier, on the back of our 21 Nissan Murano. 60 inches wide, 22 inches long, constructed of aluminum, giving you real solid contact tie-down points on the top and sides of your carrier. One thing to consider for this guy is that it will obstruct your taillights. Well, not your taillights, it'll obstruct your backup sensors and you're gonna see a portion of it in your backup camera. But that is a good thing 'cause it gives you a good idea as far as where your cargo carrier is in relation to the rear of your vehicle. So, and this guy right here, these are gonna be the contact points that you're gonna make 'cause that's the sturdier part of the carrier. more

Why would you need a hitch cargo carrier It has a couple of different uses. For instance, if you're going over a longer road trip and have your car filled up with people and maybe all your luggage doesn't fit into the back end, you're going that additional luggage is gonna have to go somewhere else. So this is a perfect opportunity for that. Or if you're going to something like the hardware store and picking up those messier items like mulch or fertilizer maybe and don't want that to have the potential to break open and spill over your car or kind of stink it up, having it on the outside of our vehicle, is a really nice option. more

Our cargo carrier is going to be a great way to free up the inside of our Rogue for passengers and pets and be able to carry all our gear on the back. As you can see, it is going to add quite a bit of real estate to the back of our Rogue, so I'd like to give you a few measurements. From the back of our bumper, it's going to come out right about 40-inches at the very back. Now, the closest point is going to be right about 13 1/2-inches. Speaker 1: Today on our 2018 Nissan Rogue, we're gonna be taking a look at the Reese Explorer 24 by 60 cargo carrier, part number 63153.Our cargo carrier's gonna allow us to carry all of our gear on the back of our Rogue, freeing up space on the inside for passengers and pets. As you can see, it is gonna take up a little bit of space on the back, so I'd like to give you a few measurements.From the back of the bumper, overall, we're gonna be adding right about 33 inches. Now, at the closest, point, it's be roughly right about seven inches at the front of the carrier here. As far as ground clearance is concerned, at the back of our carrier, it's gonna be just over 15 inches off the ground. The inside walls are gonna be about five and a half inches tall. One thing to keep in mind if you are stacking quite a bit of gear up would be the point to where your hatch is gonna come in contact. more

We've added about 31 inches to the overall length of our vehicle. The exhaust system on this vehicle exits on our passenger side and sits about 11 inches away from our loading platform. When opening our rear hatch, we see that the door breaks over the cargo carrier at about 16 inches. more

In this position, we have about 11-1/2 inches of ground clearance. The closest point of the carrier to the rear of our vehicle is about 4-1/2 inches.Now, well go ahead and pull the handle at the top of the cargo carrier to allow our carrier to tilt. In this position, we have a ground clearance here at the rear of the carrier of about 15 inches. Weve added about 38 inches to the overall length of our vehicle. more

The closest part of the carrier to the closest part of the vehicle here at the rear bumper is about seven inches and weve added about 29 inches to the overall length of the vehicle. With the cargo carrier folded up, we have about 11 inches of ground clearance. The closest part of the carrier to the closest part of the vehicle here at the rear bumper is about one and a half inches. Notes, now with the cargo carrier folded up, there is a minimal amount of space between the first part of the cargo carrier and the bumper. more

Now to begin our test fit well slide the shank of the carrier into the hitch, line up the hitch pin hole, and install our pin and clip. With that done, our cargo carrier is secured to the vehicle, and were ready to load it up. At this point well give you few measurements. From the closest point of the carrier to the back of the vehicle measures 4 inches, and this carrier will add an additional 30 inches of overall length to the vehicle. Our ground clearance at the back of the carrier is 20 inches, and when opening the rear cargo door, it does break over the platform itself at about 9 inches. more
